Transcribe
SIMMS Transcribe is an integrated web-based transcription module. It eliminates the inefficiencies of the classic reporting system, and significantly reduces time spent on transcription reporting and the associated labor costs. The module condenses the report life cycle procedure of dictation, editing, transcription, and revision into a well-organized, fast, and accurate system.
SIMMS Transcribe module has a number of unique features that help to:
- Automate the reporting process
- Save time and effort on report delivery
- Customize the workflow process speed and efficiency
Fully integrated with RIS, PACS, and Dispatch
SIMMS Transcribe allows radiologists to dictate their diagnosis directly into the system, while interpreting patient’s images. The system automatically attaches the dictation to the patient records file and immediately forwards it to the medical transcriptionist to be typed. The approved report is automatically delivered to the referring physician either by fax or email.
Automated reporting process
When the radiologist finishes the dictation, it is automatically delivered to the medical transcriptionist, and the radiologist sees the next image studies to be evaluated. When the typist completes the report, the next one automatically pops up, saving time on going to the worklist and choosing the report to type. The typist’s report is automatically sent back to the radiologist for approval. The whole process significantly reduces waiting time for the care team members.
Customizable and convenient process of radiologist dictation
Radiologists can pause or replay the dictation, making it easy to produce accurate reports. They are also able to review and edit typed reports before sending them.
Customizable template reports for more efficient transcription
Transcriptionists can choose from a number of standard templates to use, or they can adjust the templates, significantly accelerating the transcription process.
Volume and audio speed controls
Transcriptionists can easily control the volume and the audio speed using player controls to adjust the settings to their convenience.
The transcriptionist’s text report is checked using the most up to date medical dictionary. If the word is not found in the dictionary, the transcriptionist can add it manually.
