RadStation
SIMMS RadStation, the viewing platform for SIMMS PACS, features complete DICOM image management functionality and a customizable interface. The interface enables radiologists to focus on their primary responsibility: reading images and providing diagnoses as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The enhanced display protocols require fewer steps to manipulate the image layout, providing increased workflow efficiency. An extensive suite of advanced image display options offers better views of images. Advanced functionality includes a customizable worklist, history viewer, hanging protocols, and real-time exam tracking can improve the radiologist’s process and overall performance.
SIMMS RadStation, integrated with SIMMS Radiology Information System and Picture Archiving Communication System, minimizes the number of steps radiologists must perform to view relevant images, and improves turnaround time.
With the SIMMS RadStation, radiologists have control over their work environment. In order to maximize comfort and efficiency, they can configure general settings for colors, layout, and other general display properties. In addition, SIMMS RadStation allows radiologists to configure their preferences by modality, including their layout preferences, window/level hot keys, and overlay displays.
From SIMMS RadStation, a radiologist can use a variety of exam lists to select the images to be displayed. Exam lists are based on information from SIMMS Radiology Information System and are used to divide the pool of available exams into strategic categories.
For any exam selected, both the images and the text report associated with the exam may be displayed. Worklist can be organized by a range of Query/Retrieve capabilities.
Advanced Image Manipulation Tools
SIMMS RadStation incorporates a full range of image display and manipulation features, including: window/level presets, scale, sharpen, rotate/flip, etc… It can display multiple exams concurrently, allowing for comparisons with prior studies.
Sophisticated Image Measurement Tools
SIMMS RadStation provides many features required for radiologist’s day-to-day work, such as angle tool, measure line/area tool, and pixel data tool, as well as advanced capabilities including image annotation tools.
Case and image presets allow adjustments to be made to all images in an exam in one single step. They control window/level, inversion, and sharpness. Case presets can also control scale, layout, and image-by-image or modality-based window/level settings. Case and image presets can be created, changed, and applied on demand.
SIMMS RadStation incorporates a thumbnail display which allows radiologists to visually select different series for display. Image, patient, and study information automatically appear when an image is moused over.
