Document Management allows linking scanned items, pictures or images to a specific exam. This paperless solution allows for the elimination of storing printed copies of technologist worksheets, exam requisitions, and copies of insurance cards.
The SIMMS Document Management module communicates with the scanner to perform automatic scanning of documents with one click of a button. Scanned documents can be linked to an exam at any time including upon patient arrival, during the exam process, and after the exam has been read and archived.
The system provides scanning and storing of all document types including: Technologist worksheets, exam requisitions, prior radiology reports, patient identification cards, patient consent forms, images, sketches and photographs.
SIMMS Document Management can acquire images from any file directory on the local or network drive, and CDs and DVDs. SIMMS Document Management system supports multiple image formats: DICOM, JPEG, BMP, TIFF and GIF.
